Meet your chef

Chef Mason Hessing

Mason started his career by working in various restaurant roles, from hosting to serving and bartending, before falling in love with cooking in the back of the house. His first cooking job was at a well-known steakhouse, followed by a position at Rioja, a James Beard Award-winning restaurant in Denver, where he gained extensive cooking knowledge.

He worked in all areas of the restaurant, starting as a line cook and progressing onward. Later in Denver, he focused on establishments specializing in handmade pasta, striving to work at the finest dining restaurants he could find. Afterward, he relocated to the Illinois Valley area and continued to work in different restaurants. Being close to Chicago has allowed Mason to branch out and pursue private dining for clients in the city, the suburbs, and on Lake Michigan for yacht parties.

For private dining experiences, your chef or service team will arrive 1 to 2 hours prior to the Start Time entered at the time of booking. Exact details will be confirmed 48 hours prior to your event. For massage services, your therapist typically arrives 15 - 20 minutes before the Start Time you selected.

Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a reservation is not considered confirmed until at least a deposit has been made. Once a reservation has been made, you can work with our concierge or directly with the chef or service provider to fine-tune and customize your event.
